does anyone know about cascade bows?
« on: December 10, 2009, 04:53:00 PM »
Hi, I am thinking about buying a Cascade bow. The ones I like are the Whitetail Hawk 58" and the Super Black Hawk 60" Are they good bows? Please let me know. Thanks,  Chad

Cascade bows are a quality bow. But, I suggest you try one before you buy. No matter what the brand or what others say, everyone has things they like and dislike about a bow, grip etc. What is good for one guy is bad for another. The only way to know for sure is to shoot one. Also, consider buying used first, it will save you a lot of money. Almost no one sticks with the first bow they buy. If you buy a used bow, you can shoot it for awhile, and then sell it for about the same as you paid if you want something else.

The bows are made by Check Mate in Canada and the finish done by Cascade. Great quality, I have a Goshawk that I really like.

What mahantango said.  My problem with the one I had was that the grip just did not suit me at all.

I know the bowyer and he's a great person. The handles are a bit large for me but just tell Cascade what you want. Easy. I have two Chek Mates with handles made to my order and wouldn't trade them for anything.

I have a Golden Hawk mag and I really like it. It is 62# but draws like it is much lighter. The grip fits my hand just right. The fit and finish of the bow is also very good.

I've got a Golden Hawk Magnum, I really like it. Fit and finish is very nice. It was the first of many custom bows.

I had a 58" Whitetail Hawk that shot very well.  Good combination of stability and portability (riser heavy enough but not too heavy for my tastes).
