"Black Glove" shooting glove?? Tell me more
« on: December 11, 2009, 10:09:00 PM »
Hey- saw the Black Glove shooting glove advertised in TBM.  Anyone know anything?  Seems like a pretty innovative glove.

Thanks for replies

Dan,

I don't have one, but talked to Tim at Kustom King about them and it's his favorite glove.  Sure, he sells them, but he sells lots of gloves and can shoot any of them that he likes.  Anyway, take it for what it's worth...  todd

Thanks Todd. . . I don't know if anyone else read about them in TBM- but they sound really awesome.  I am not a buy-and-try guy. $$ is tight- so I don't want to jump too soon.  Sure seems like a durable and good glove though.

Dan,  I was going to order one myself for Christmas this year from Kustom King but backed out...I bought one of the leather gloves last year from them and most of the calf hair has come out of the finger tips where I grab the string for some reason...I liked the glove but couldn't believe the hair would be out in less then a year...I noticed they have those on sale right now..I knowthe black glove is a totally different glove they are stocking now but I can't waste hard earned money just to try a product and find it fails in a short time...I never contacted them about the calf hair issue cause I've used it and figured it wasn't something they made themselves and part my fault for not imforming them about it in the beginning...I just made an order with them and will continue to do so but I too want more info. before I purchase another.. If you get one of the Black ones they are listing let me know how it performs and I might invest in one later...

I shoot with BW calf hair tabs and the hair starts to come out after a few days of hard shooting.  If your gove lasted that long and you shoot a lot that would be great from my experience with calf hair.

I will have to check out this glove.  I want to try a glove, but all the ones I have seen so far have too short of finger surface for a good deep hook.

just got one. havn't shot much with it yet. seems pretty nice. wore it out hunting this morning 10 degrees out and much warmer than my damascus glove i normally shoot. so far it looks like a quality glove. don't what it will be like when it gets warmer.

They advertise their gloves as having been designed for a deep hook.
