I have a PSE Blackhawk 50# take down recurve I bought almost 20 years ago. IMHO, for the money, they are good, rugged bows. Mine has fired thousands and thousands of arrows, and still works great. It is still accurate and hard hitting. I used it last spring to take a Turkey. I don't "cherish" it like my older classic bows (Bears, Browning's, Ben Pearson, etc), but the PSE has always performed for me. I'm not positive, but Samick might make these for PSE...? Anyhow, for a first bow, a back up hunting bow, or a bad weather bow, or to leave at camp, I think the PSE offers a good deal for the money.
