Hunt of a Lifetime Update
« on: April 14, 2007, 12:01:00 PM »
It'a amazing the ripples a bunch of Trad bowhunters can make when we band together for a good cause .......  I just wanted to share a couple more events that have occured thanks to the efforts of everyone here in getting the Arizona Tag Transfer provision in place...... That legislation has become the Foundation on which our   Arizona Chapter Hunt of a Lifetime  program is built upon ..... This is a link to a segment which aired on Cabelas "Memories In The Field"

 http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/community/aboutus/media/pages/mitf_vclips07.jsp?auPage=tv

Cabelas Memories in the Field[/URL]
On March 12th, 13th, and 18th Click on the Elk Hunting Redfish Show..... I've watched Jacobs hunt literally dozens of times and still tear up when I see it...... His reaction after the shot is priceless...... Another bit of news is that Steve Chappell (You may recognize his name from some of the Primos Truth Elk hunting video series) Has included another of the AZ HOAL Elk hunts in his newest addition to the Extreme Bulls series, Extreme Bulls 4....... This program is really helping some kids who face monumental challenges in their day to day lives , leave their troubles behind, if only for a moment..... Thanks to each of you who took the time to get involved........ Remember as we prepare for the St Judes Auction, These kids are what it's all about...... Terry

Not sure why the link to cabelas site isn't working, but you can cut and paste this link into your browser bar to get there;

Well, I can't get the video to come up for me.

But I'm glad that the tag transfer program is working. It's amazing how generous people can be!

That was awesome Terry..my eye's were welling when they were talking to him at breakfast and running by the 8 minute mark. Awesome.

You might mention to click on the elk/redfish link and that it's the first 10 minuest of the show.

Thanks Terry for posting that. really!

I tried it again and this time the video worked.

Pretty neat and a heck of a bull! Very kind and generous of all the people involved.

Thanks for taking the time to watch this special clip, Robert and Darrell.......It takes a ton of effort by a lot of people to pull these hunts together..... But as you can tell all that's forgotten when you see the results..... Terry

Terry,

Got to watch it on TV when it aired.  Great footage but dang I kept having a problem with the pollen that day and didn't get to see some parts.  If you know what I mean.

I was bragging on HOAL this weekend with a bunch of bowhunters here in Texas.
