What arrows?

I am shooting a 49# supershrew deluxe. My draw is 28" and I am shooting Beeman Max4 500's cut to 29" with a 125grain tip. They weigh 430grains and that comes to 8.7GPP. I was thinking of going a little heavier. These arrows are tuned perfectly and fly like darts. I am not so much worried about penetration as i am only hunting deer. I know this set-up will do it with no problem.
My rig is quiet and accurate. I am just worried that arrows that light may not be good for my bow. what do you guys think and reccomend, or should I just stay where i am at?

I shoot heavier arrows, but from what I have read 8GPP is the lower limit, so you should be okay. If everything else is working, and it sounds like it is, I would be tempted not to mess with it. If you are really concerned, check with the bowyer.

3Rivers has weight tubes that will bump the weight of those arrows up. I think they are 3/5/8 grains per inch. Dont think it changes the spine either.

Grab some 145gr or heaver points and see how they do. Alan

125 grain heads are perfect for the spine. with 145 the spine is slightly on the weak side and there is no way i can cut the shafts. Everything is perfect as for tuning, I just wanted to ask if it was ok for the bow.

Your bow will last yours and your kids life time with those arrows.......With heavier arrows, your Shrew will last your grand kids life time.   :D    :cool:    

In all seriousness, I think you and your bow be fine, especially if you're drawing 28".

Most of us probley won't have a bow long enough to see how long it will last with certain arrows.

Don't worry about it. What did we all do 20 years ago when we didn't know the arrow weights? Oh yeah we shot what flew best from our bows and killed stuff. Still seems to work today. If the bow is quiet, not shocky and thowing them like darts, you've got more than enough to kill whitetails, just put the arrow in the boiler-room and make meat.
