Stone Point help PLEASE..(pics)
« on: January 05, 2010, 05:19:00 PM »
I recieved these stone point heads for christmas this year and know absolutley nothing about them. The people that they came from said these were "found" from different parts of the US.

I'm looking for any information about them. What kind of rocks, if these are "old"..Or pretty much any information you have. I realize that its a odd thing to ask about..but I need an education on these.
 I included a few pictures..Thank you.

U kno, ive seen some really large arrow heads b4.  They almost seem so large and heavy as to be spear heads. Yet, they arent quite shaped like you would think spear heads are shaped.  They are shaped like.......arrow heads.  I wonder if its cause possibly the indians knew a thing or 2 about Extreme and Ultra FoC?????  Just something ive been thhinkin bout lately.  Guess i got to much time on my hands or i just love trad archery alot.

Larger heads ere likely Atlatl points.

Do you know where they were found? I have a book that has arrowheads arranged by geographic location. I could try to look them up for you.
