Cabela's wool

Has anyone any experience with the Outfitter wool shirt jac from Cabelas?
I think/hope that this shirt jac is unlined.
I know that this will not be as good as KOM but is it close?
Thanks

Just a though my hunting buddy just got some and it had a bad chemical smell to it,the returned one had the same smell. That went back as well.I shop at Cabelas all the time and its odd that they would even ship something like that.

They had the Wooltimate pants on sale for $49.00 so I picked the up. I hunted with them in below zero temps last week and they were awesome! I wanted the wool but the camo pattern is way to dark for my liking, the Wooltimate is much lighter!

I got one for this season and love it. Does not have the windshear lining. It is lined with a soft tricot material. IMHO it is put together quite well and should last for several seasons, has a very tight knit to it...

I too picked up the wooltimate pants and jacket on sale. I got the ones with the windshear lining. They are great I would recommend them.

I love mine, and is one of the best investments that I have ever made. I would recommend getting the Windshear liner.

How are these sized? Are they a little on the bigger side, so you can add layers?

I too have the wooltimate jacket with the windshear. Well worth the money. Very warm.

Is the windshear lining noisy when the mercury drops?

I've been out in single digits lately with no problems with noise.

Been wearing KOM outfit for 19 years. Sold some guns back then to buy it all. I swear by it! I bought a pair of the expensive Cabela wool pants. they came apart by the crotch, literally unwove. To old to return ( 3 years), I patched them. KOM....cheaper in the long run. Pete

I opted for the pants with no lining. I figured with all the walking I do I'd probably get all sweated up. I'll get the jacket with the windshear, I usually carry that in and put it on after I hang my stand!

I was at the Maine Cabela's last week. I looked at their wool and I could not detect any odor that was odd or strong. I wasn't looking for wool so I didn't buy it but would have if that is what I needed. In the Outfitters Brown it was an awesome set of clothing.

I recently got a flier that showed their merino wool longjohns at a pretty good price. Anyone have any experience with it. Considerably cheaper than Three Rivers.
