Arrow dipping ?
« on: January 11, 2010, 02:09:00 PM »
I dipped a set of arrows with spray paint( I know its the cheap way) when I was fletching them I noticed that the paint was coming off.I use ducco cement and the shafts were sealed before I painted them.Should I have sanded the sealed shaft before I painted or should I have sealed the part I dipped before I fletched them.or was it the ducco?

I don't really know why yours did what they did, but I always do the crown prior to putting a couple coats of sealer on (dipped), then crest, then put another coat or two of sealer on before fletching.

I got the shafts and they were already dipped.Next six I will sand the sealer down so the paint will have something to hold to.and then I will clear coat them before fletching. thanks guys
