Silly ? how many arrows for 3D shoot?

I take 6. Never lost any but have damaged a couple on a shoot.

I take 3 arrows in a pocket quiver
 some times there are  2 target at one stake .I have been doing this for 20 years. when I first stared I took 10 in my back quiver.Just remember if you find any lost arrows on the course turn them in at the culb house.

I take 5 but I broke 4 at league last night as the floor is concrete and there were some ridiculous shots.

Take 3 more than you think you need just so you don't ruin your shoot by either having to buy arrows or just quitting.

I take 4 in my quiver and a few in the truck for backup.

I carry 4 with me and keep a couple extras in the car. I generally shoot from 15 to 20 yards at the small to mid size targets and 25 to 30 at the elk, mule deer, and moose targets.

Most of our 3-D shoots are set up for compound, so I don't ever shoot from the stake in the ground,because I just don't shoot the distances that they have the targets set from the stakes like 80 yards on the moose and 70 on the bull elk.

I have a Hill style back quiver and I fill that baby up,always a few flu-flus to.

Take plenty.  Think of it as if your paying for your education.  If you break or can't find a few, don't worry about it.  Your getting educated and you will do better next time.  It's money well spent.

I usually take 4. most times I come back home with 4. all total last year I think I lost 2 arrows out of a dozen shoots.

Sometimes there are multiple targets at a single station. Sometimes you lose an arrow. Take 6. If you're there for more than one day do what that other fella said and take 6 and have 6 more in the truck.

If you are starting out bring 12 at least don't get to attached to those arrows as they may get lost till you get the hang of 3d  some arrows you don't find will be brought back by other archers   . go as close to the targets as you have to so you won't loose as many arrows and get discourged ,, good luck!
