Weekend project complete
« on: April 15, 2007, 09:36:00 PM »
Did another Boo backed Osage this weekend. 58"ntn 53#@28" This is the first with Cocobolo in the riser. Really like the color of it. Was going to wrap the handle in black leather but I just could'nt cover up the wood. All thats left is to stick on a shelf and plate

I have to stop looking at these posts! You guys kill me with your bow-making skills. I am dying to make a bow but just don't have the time/skill.
Besides, being new to this traditional game, I have more pressing things to do(like hitting the bullseye a little more often).

Anyway, that it ANOTHER beautiful bow. I really like the striping on the grip. You said that you did it this weekend, is that start-to-finish? How many hours does a bow like that take?

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

pseman, it takes about 3hours to lay it out and glue it up. After the glue dries next dat it takes anywere from a couple of hours to six or seven depending how the tillering goes.

Weekend Project?  Good grief!  What ever happened to cussing the lawnmower, changing the fan belt, honey do's, etc.?

Beautiful work.  Right on about no grip. Back to the honey do list.
