More target practice for Mr D.Sturgis.
« on: April 16, 2007, 05:21:00 AM »
Well It seems that our mate Mr D Sturgis is planning on landing here in Oz and shooting all our Chital deer with nasty ol arrows!   :notworthy:   .

So thought I post some pics for him to practice on, in his thoughts anyway. You know the ones.... stalking into range of something like this...

Than seeing this as you follow another "Mighty Chital Stag" into his beding area.

Or maybe, just maybe you've tip toed (with out your boots off, only socks) under this lads radar...

That should keep you up at night mate...   :goldtooth:

Al, I still have a couple sheets of foam and will get out the spray paint.

Looking forward to seeing the country you hunt.  :)

Look at that stag's face! Face like that would make me grin to shoot him! Lovely hide, too. What do they taste like?

Cool!  Deer with built in aiming spots!  Maybe that's what I need    :knothead:    At least now we know where the phrase "pick a spot" originates from.  :bigsmyl:

Whip,
Only problem is you have to declare which spot before you shoot or it doesn't count  :)   Doc

Tough to judge how big they are. What would you compare them too? Or how many pounds on the hoof?

Hi lads,

Yep picking a spot can be a wee bit hard on these critters. Oh, killy... yep real nice to eat. I'd say the best here in Oz out of all our deer.

As for weights, I'm not to sure but a big Stag can be a bull of a critter in his rutting period.

The tp photo made the front cover of our bowhunting mag here in Oz and I was rather proud of it too I might add. My first covershot.

just remember Denny... these fellas are quick!

I think they test better than prime rib. Dtala field dressed these deer can get to 200 # easy I have a meat market next to my house and I see way too many that weigh 200#. They aren't behind fences here anymore either.
