Fuel for the soul...no tags punched!
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:38:00 AM »
A long fall that might not have yielded anything I could tag but added life to my soul!

Early firearm doe season in September…Don’t need no stinking gun! (only the orange)

Here is the same stand in December…just a touch colder!

Few others before…and between.

Bear in MN…high 70’s and skeeters the size of the ravens that looked at me like I owed them money...thanks again Pete and Jimbo!

Night I saw the biggest thing I've ever seen hunting...the "L" for my son Logan not Looser!    .

A nice October day in Michigan…with an E on my cheek for Evelyn my daughter…there’s an L on my other cheek for Logan my son.

Mid October stroll.

I took a lot of photos in November but they’re on my work phone and I need to get them off…a lot of me with my head buried in my coat collar because of the cold.

Fuel for the soul!

Cool photos,a good season does not always mean you need to take an animal.

My son spent the afternoon of new years eve, in his climber, perched from the same tree he spent the opener of the early antlerless season.

It really made an impression on him, how much everything changed. He talked about it quite a bit...still does. "Fuel for the soul" as you said.

Enjoyed the pics.

Thanks.

I have not punch a tag since last spring, but the memorys of all the falls adventures will remain a life time. Time with one's self listing to nature can always get my soul burning. Tag soup is not bad just marinade in a salt brine frist, roll in salt, pepper, flour. Fry 20 min a side.
