Feedback on arrow Fur strips

I am looking for some feedback on the fur arrow strips you can attach between your feathers and the nock of an arrow.  Do these show up good in flight?  I am new to trad, and love seeing the flight of an arrow.  Just wondering if these would help me get a better visual of the flight.

Don't know about them ,I use flo-yellow and Hot Pink feathers on my shafts.They show up!it's like shooting a flame out of your bow.

That is what I'm looking for, LOL.
Something that looks like a flame shooting thru the air!  Don't know if I can hack the pink though, lol.   Will have to think about that one.

I haven't used the fur tracers for many years but I remember them as not showing much in flight but you could really see your arrows in the target.The fur flattens in flight then puffs right out when the arrow stops.

I imagine on pass throughs on deer,you wouldn't see it either.

They should also help a little in finding arrows.

It might be worth a small trial on a couple arrows to see how they work for you.

I used them several times on the animal round course and they do show up very well.  I used the pink ones and they were much more visible than feathers alone.  They will affect arrow flight out past mid range, but at twenty or so they won't make much difference.  I should also add that this was during the late 1970's.  8^).

I use the feather tracers, they do help me see my arrow a bit more in flight. They really show up when the hit their intended target, easy to find arrow as well! I'm sure the fur will be even better, I might switch the the fur when my feather tracers are gone! They look pretty cool to boot!

I like white, yellow or pink feathers for visibility in flight - helps imprint the trajectory in my brain. Fur tracers are some help in flight, but much more so at the target. They look like ping pong balls when they flatten out at the target. Much easier to see than even bright fletching from 20 yards.

I have white, chartreuse, and one with a combo of both.I feel I can see my arrows great with them. The combo color one shows up the best and I have them behing bright yellow fletches.

I got tired of using/paying for lighted nocks, but I don't like bright fletching...went with the feather tracers and really like them, they don't seem to affect my arrow flight. You can get a bag of them (life time suppy for you and 10 friends), at the craft store for $3 or so. I trim them to about 1/4 length before stripping them off the quill, because full length they tickle my nose while trying to touch the feather for anchor. I also soak them with spray water proofing when I do my arrows and they do fine.

I use fur tracers and if they work properly they shouldn't affect the arrow flight much. Good tracers lay down while the arrow flies but pop open as soon as it hits.  I use rabbit zonkers from a fly tying shot for tracers. They are already cut into 1/4" strips and a quick measurement, a little fletch tape and they are ready to go.
  I prefer white but have had good results with chautrauce

I'm still contemplating pink and yellow fletching. That sounds like the way to go as far as visually helping see arrow flight.

YES!!! They are awsome! You don't need alot of game spooking fletching with these tracers. I can see my arrows in flight and at the point of impact better than with bright flecthing.

Saunders used to manufacturer them under the namd "Fur Fletch."   I think they are still available at 3Rivers or Kustom King.

Kustom King has the tracers....feathers rather than the fur type.  You can google fur fletch also.

I use the white fur tracers on my arrows. Before I put them on my arrows I trim them down a little so that they aren't as long, seems to help my down range flight. I really like them and they look nice to. I just can't get myself to  buy $10 light up nocks. Plus it kind of takes away from my feeling toward traditional.

Try chartreuse or flourescent lime fletch on the same color crest or tape.  They glow in flight and are easy to see in the target.
