CNC or PRE CNC

My question is I see some Widow bows that are older that say pre cnc the later bows are cnc machined. Is there a advantage over one or the other? I am a machinest by trade with 30 years of experince and have my own shop.I know with cnc machining you can hold tighter tolerence,but is there somthing lost with the computer? What I do know is I want one!

As a owner of a BW PSA II BUILT IN 2005-CNC I actually could not tell ya how it compares to pre cnc but i love it !

I have owned both and shot both for many, many hundreds of arrows since buying my first BW in 1996.  Bottom line is they are truly a great bow and from both eras and kill everything just as dead.

Save your pennies and make some hunting dreams come true.  You won't regret it.

I love mine and my buddy scott shot mine and I beleive it to be a smoother draw than his Morrison and quicker or as quick as. My widow is also quieter.

Probably the biggest advantage seen with the CNC bows is that if you want an extra set of limbs for a takedown, you simply order them. With the pre- CNC bows you were best off to send the riser in for final fitting of a set of limbs. That was the only way they could guarantee a proper fit.

I'm with the rest of you on this, pre or post they are great bows with the very best customer backing in the industry. I have a lot of bows, both old and new in my collection, but BW tends to be my "go to" bow. CKruse

I like the looks of the older ones better myself.  I agree with the above...cnc or not, all the BW recurves are good bows.

I have a PSA3, I got Bamboo limbs and Toby suggested instead of the white riser accents we use bamboo. It looks great and shoots great too. I have harvested a 9 point Whitetail and a Caribou in AK since I got it in Aug 2005.

I had 2 pre-cnc Widow's-an SA III and an MA II and I just got a PSA X.They all shot and shoot great.The fit seems to be better with the PSA but they're all good.I'd buy another pre-cnc Widow with no reservations at all

I just purchased a lightly used PMA III 60" 60lbs at 28 inches and was actually pondering the same thing, it seems pre used, pre cnc seem to be higher priced than I would think, pretty much in line with the CNC bows used ,, I guess it is the nostalgic value. Any way I still want a TF III really bad..
