Aluminum shaft selection ?

I have a Howatt hunter that I pull at 55 LBS, my arrow length is 28.50. I would like go from wood to aluminum shafts, any suggestions on shaft size would be helpful trying to cut down on trial and arrow.

Use the Dynamic Spine Calculator. It has been a world of help for me picking aluminum shafts. Eastons recommendations suck and are never close to what I need.

Hunters are fast bows, I think a 2018 with 125 to 145 grain head would be about perfect. Also 2114 should be a great arrow with those same weight heads.

I know these sound heavy but try 2216 with 145 grain field points.maby even 2219.2020's are also a good size to try but I would give the 2216 a try first.

2018 or a 2115 if you want to shoot a flatter trajectory.

I think George is right.I have never been able to find a head heavy enough to make a 2216 work on a bow like that.
