Question on bow finish.
« on: January 24, 2010, 05:14:00 PM »
I was shooting one of my recurves today and noticed a place where something had scraped or scuffed it. I took some tru oil and rubbed it on the affected area and it is now drying. Could this potentially harm the bow? Sorry if it's a stupid question, just curious...

Would if I could but the camera is on the fritz. Just checked on it and it seems fine but it's still drying. I just don't want to ruin the current finish by applying another one. Although, I guess it's little late now...  :knothead:

Try the bowyers forum, or trad history collecting forum. Lot's of finish experts there. Good luck.
