Thanks Ron (aka RGK)
« on: April 17, 2007, 11:00:00 AM »
just about finished with my first attempt at building a knife and wanted to say thanks to Ron and others for their input and help. the handle still needs a little sanding and finish and then just to sharpen the blade. i'm giving this one to my son for his collection.

this one is made with an old saw blade.

thanks Mickey.  i should say that it all started with that Hickory bow you walked me through a few years ago. something about making stuff with your own two hands.

CMR i used an old 12" blade off of my compound miter saw. it was steel, but i'm not sure of the grade. i must also give kudos to Trad Gang, if not for this site this knife would never have been made.

Heck Rob I still send out your tillering tree plans to people, and I can't begin to tell you how many kids bows have been made off of your plans that are posted on my website.

THANK YOU!
