Every now and then a topic comes up about the best broadhead or something similar. Anyway someone always says they have the best broadhead cause thier broadhead penetrated both shoulder blades and that is testimony of a a good broadhead and hit. Well in my opinion if you hit the shoulder blade you missed the lungs and are probably in for a tough tailing job.

Unless you are up high and taking shots quartering to you that is the case.On a broadside shot it is pretty hard to hit bone on a deer other than sliceing a rib or two unless you miss and hit forward of where the goodies are.jmo

Lot of variables come into play. Angle, distance, arrow weight, arrow speed, are some that come immediately to mind.
Still I can't recall any deer I shot with any type of bow where the arrow penetrated completely through a shoulder blade that I didn't recover.
When someone comes up with the perfect broadhead, remind me to get some to try...

Good thread seriously. But I'm gonna lock it. This was hashed out just a couple of days ago and the thread was locked due to those that came to avocate shoulder blade shots.
See the new shot placement pics stickied to the top. More animals to come.
