Beman MFX Classics ???
« on: April 18, 2007, 01:45:00 AM »
I am shooting the ICS hunter 500's out of my 51# recurve and they are flying great.  My question is I want to buy the MFX Classics and shoot them.  It appears that the weight in GPI is quite a bit different.  Is this going to affect my arrow flight?  Will these arrows work?  I don't want to dump $90.00 on shafts and find out that they don't work.  I am assuming since it is still a 500 spine it should be fine!  :banghead:    Thanks

The spine should be exactly the same. They will just weigh a little different.

Since these arrows are narrower than the ICS, you'll find they make your bow act a bit more center cut.  These have actually been the easiest to tune shafts for me.

I am shooting the MFX Classics 500's out of my Silvertip (50# @ 27") and my Morrisdon TD (54# @ 27")...the arrows have 100 grain insert and I can shoot allot of different broadheads with no problems.....

I'm shooting the MFX Classic 400's out of my ACS-CX.  I also have 90gr weight tubes installed.  You won't see a huge difference out to about 25 yards and should adjust pretty quick.  Beyond 25 yards you will definitely know they are heavier.  The further out the more you see it.
