I was wondering if KME was at the show, with the prototype I heard they might have for the knife sharpener to sharpen Hill style heads. If they were, was there any projected release date and price information????

Talked to a big guy from the KME table at the show, I don't know about the Hill style sharpener, but he did say they were working on a 3-blade sharpener, look forward to trying that, the one I have puts a scary edge on my knives!

I have heard nothing but good about KME, I'm going to order the knife sharpener because I do not shoot straight edge heads, so I think the knife sharpener would give me the best flexability to do all of my sharpening. Do you use the stones or the diamond plates, are they interchangeable?

Todweetz and fixer, if you send a note to your fellow TG'er JAKE he can answer your questions. That's who you talked to last weekend.

I've had my knife sharpener for over a year now and it has to be the very best systems on the market bar none. 22 knifes and each one sharper then they ever been. Can say to emough about KME and Ron. Company and Personal top notch. Well worth the money..................

FWIW, I have both (stones and diamonds) for my KME and both work great. Diamonds are a little quicker (for old hands that tire easily, at any rate) and less mess (water not oil) but as Ron says, you'll never get quite as fine a finish (razor edge) as with the stones (or something like that) and, "Don't bear down - easy does it," with the diamonds. I use both and/or either, according to how i feel and what I'm doing.

Sorry I missed or we missed hooking up. I was at the the show for 3 days and busy as heck. Sometimes we got swallowed up in the crowd. If you have any questions please email or call us. I apologize again for missing out on meeting you.
