Selway Quiver Finish Question
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:21:00 PM »
I just got one that was with a bow I picked up. It has a faded apperance still hard as a rock finish but faded.

My question any way to restore the color?
Could I dye it a darker color than it has now?

Just wondering.

Thanks DD

I dont know how exactly they finish them.  If they do it the way I think they do, then you could just sand it and it should turn like a yellowish white?  I think they just dye them and mabye coat with a polyurethene or something?  I think regular raw hide would get limp when wet and mine dont do that?  Good question though!

Is it leather? I had a boa I roughed up with sand paper and dyed a different color.
