Hey guys, maybe this clears it up, point the end of the striker away from the direction of your yelps...example....hold pot in left hand and striker in the right..i cock my striker end (not the end that touches the glass) towards the right and go counter clockwise with my circles. I like a wide tip stiker and work the back half of striker tip ( 12,1,2,3,4,5,6 oclock side of stiker point as it "scratches" the top..its just alot easier this way CCW when your right handed becasue 1/2 the yelp is made on the stroke at 2,1,12,11,10,9,8,7, oclock of the circle...Clucks and cuts I hold the striker end ( not the end that touches the glass) away from me at dead 12 oclock. I am canting the peg about 5-10 degrees on all of this......Kee Kee...well you first have to have a pot call to do it...but no matter what pot you have find the break over spot and start your 1/2 your yelp above and stroke through the break over to get the bottom. Hold the pot very loose in your hand to get raspy and lighter striker pressure........hope this helps.....I made Biggie a pot call one time and he thought it was a drink coaster! i think he called up a turkey one time with it...oh yeah....i did not get one bite!

Gads.  I'd like to know if you south guys ever attended school that taught English.  Reading the above posts reminds me of trying to figure out what cricket is across the pond.

Ted ,look at your yelp circle as the face of a watch. Start with with peg on the 2"oclock position and move it Counter clock wise (CCW) in a nice tight circle about 1/2" circumfernce to the 1 o'cloc ,12'o'clock .11 'o'clock and so on.......this makes a nice yelp..practice tempo.......theirs a difference in typing turkey and talking english......Trueblood? ..you speak Native?

Joey, Did you you say that you had a build along on here for your 2 legged turkey chair? I aim to have on for this spring. also who has them bow holder things?(stick in the ground type),
   I was at the seminar but owlbait kept asking me what you said and I missed a few parts.

Chuck here are the diminsions.. I have it shown with a third leg but you do not need it. Important thing is build your chair 4-5 inches high then cut legs off to fine tune..i also compensated for legs stick 1-2 inches in soft ground. I rigged up some cheap back straps and carry my decoy in the seat and under the seat with a bungee..I wrap total chair in that sponge type camo tape and it's really quiet.....Bow Stand can be made out of 3/8 inch alluminum wire and bend it to shape to hold your bow..  just think of it like a heavy duty giant tent stake..

I've heard Joey's turkey seminar and I enjoyed it and I don't even turkey hunt.

Joey is a barrel of fun for sure. You can tell he enjoys putting them on as he has a lot of fun too. He knows turkeys!!!!!

I feel special, Joey took me on my first turkey hunt back in the mid 90's in South Georgia! We found some birds that evening rousted and went back to them the next morning. All I remember was Joey was doing some great calling and beating the hell out of a turkey wing to simulate a fly down. When that did not work Joey started struting around like a globbler making all kinds of weird sounds. After that, he scared everything off! Ahhhh, the wonders of our youth!!!

Bonecracker taught me how to shoot my first  trad bow and actually hit something. That was a quick hunt we went on..That turkey flew to Canada i think from Thomasville,Ga

I new Johnny V when he was Head chigger attractor at the Southeasterns Trad Champs in Elberton, G in early 90's.

Gettng some PM's on the Turkey Chair...An Alaskan or simliar pack frame will work too. Actually David Waldrop from Ga who got several of us using these way back ,made many proto types out of pack frame. Find an old used pack frame with a fold down bar and thats your seat. put some rubber stoppers on end of legs and add back straps...i have one Marty Roberts gave me and hopefully show you how to convert when i get back from Disney World...

Gosh Chuck, I was only asking questions to keep you from running up and hugging Joey! Just remeber Chuck those southern birds are easier to kill, just harder to hit. They ain't tough enough to make it threw our winter, and thays much smaller. Plus, does guys don thar miss alot, so thay gets edumacated!!!
