Hiding out
« on: February 16, 2010, 12:22:00 PM »
Been doing some testing with some of my digital camo recently. Notice how the ACU does not jump out at you, even in the shadows. Marpat does extremely well but darkens up a bit when you are "out and about." Anyway enjoy the show.
Warning: I'm not smiling.
The object in my mouth is a ACME, 210 1/2 pitch, dog wistle. I'm using it because my 4yo springer still needs it to stay close.

My camera only gives me 10 secs to run to a spot and get set in, all pics will be in the open, from about 10 or so yards.

In some light the MARPAT gets pretty dark, when light is on it though you are a camelion. ACU... just kinda goes away.

Out in the open is interesting. The term "gray ghost" comes to mind. Trying to meld in to the enviroment, like a sniper with a guille suit, is not so easy but still you can come close.

Looks like it blends in pretty well. Nice looking country!!! What are the concrete blocks for?

Pretty thick back there, ticks are just starting to show up so out comes the permithrin. Blocks were just "there" some one probably wanted to build a "hut" and just got tired of lugging them in.

No animals were hurt in the testing of these clothes.
