Fairly inexpensive huntig opportunities
« on: February 17, 2010, 02:02:00 PM »
Hey guys, I'm looking for a new hunting trip to go on this year or next winter. I went hog hunting this winter and I was thinking about trying something else if I could find something besides deer or small game that is fairly inexpensive to go hunt. Perhaps bear or somethin. Any ideas guys?

Ever thought of shooting the mighty Silver Jumping Carp on the Illinois river. It is a blast and all you need is a boat with motor and a couple friends. They are all over the river not hard to find some to shoot at.

Warning:
They do hit you more than you hit them. Your boat will be a mess..

I wrote an article about it for our State Club and PBS

I haven't done it, but I bet you could get some fast and furious action hunting pheasants in North or South Dakota.

Pheasant hunting with a bow looks awesome to one of these days i'll have to give it a shot.  I have shots pheasants here but all of them with a shot gun

In WY a Non-res reduced Price Antelope doe/Fawn $48.00 dollars each. Can apply for or buy over-the-counter after the draw if any left up to two. Apply for or purchase in an area with a lot of BLM, and camp and hunt for free as in dont have to pay tresspass fee for private land. Find water hole place blind. Largest expense is gas to get here.
