I enjoy seeing other's new or new to them, archery equipment. I also enjoy reading about people's hunts. I don't read what doesn't interest me. everyone should do the same. It's kind of silly to push your likes & dislikes onto other people. I even enjoy some tech stuff. You'll never learn anything new if you always do things one certain way. If it gets too techy, I'll just grab a stave & drawknife, cut me some shoots & have a good time. Just my take on things. Doesn't mean everybody need agree.

Wouldn't be a Trad Gang if it wasn't for the stuff. Running this site isn't cheap and sponsors keep it "free" for everyone else. Plus I like seeing new stuff, just might see something I didn't know I couldn't live with out. LOL

I don't read every thread, like wtpops said click and choose. If a thread is not interesting it will die soon enough? I have a feeling that this thread will live awhile because it asks for an opinion and there is no shortage here (myself included).

I like hearing about different bows from there owner. Their opinions may not be without bias but I have gleaned the goodies for myself. I see nothing wrong with someone enjoying and sharing the joy of his new bow that probably took months to save for, choose bowyer, style and woods for, then months have to built.

I have found this site beyond value. It's been an emersion in Traditional Archery.

Respectfully, I gotta disagree...

I look at it this way:

Seeing that STAR, Denton Hill & Hawkeye are only once a year each, when the heck else do I get a chance to see: (1) something that may be a real piece of art - wood combinations to name one, (2) a new and possibly functional item, (3) something that just makes me laugh (to myself).

I'm here for fun, knowlege & company......

I can choose which thread to read.  Many times, I don't even open a single post.

I'm not much into "sensorship" of what I can choose to read "OR NOT".... I feel I have the choice to "Click as I see fit".  Keep those pictues coming.  

I especially like the pictures of things being made by the guys here that allow them to save a buck or two.     I'm getting old and less healty every day           [ now bring on the pictures and post of the Good Stuff !!]

Everyone has the Right to be Proud of a New "Whatever"! I personally dont pay much attention to the "New Bow" Posts, but I Do Check out the New Quiver, New HomeMade Knife, Stuff. It is an "Idea Farm"!!

Like Shakes I get real intrested in the "I just made me a" threads. I haven't bought a bow since 1991 so store bought stuff is ho hum to me.

What Dave said. I like pics of anything trad bowhunting/trad archery. Plus it educates me on how to better recognize the different brands/models of bows.

Reading some of these post I get the feeling most of you have a lot more money then I do. I do have a lot of stuff, but its stuff I made or made do with due to cost. One of these day I’ll post some pictures of my man cave and show you how a poor man plays. As for post on bows and other stuff I read what catches my eye and the rest just slip in to no mans land.

When I first got on this site it was those new pics that got me to do better with what I had.And made me want to make my own arrows as good as the ones those guys bought.And I acquired all the knowledge from the input other threw out on those threads.Look past the pic and you will find knowledge and skill you can apply.How do you think the guys who made the stuff they bought got so good!

I rarely look at "new bow" threads, but I know somebody is enjoying them (else they wouldn't be on there!).

Each to his own, there's something for everyone and all kinds of things to talk about (as long as it has to do with bowhunting of course!) Heck, start your own thread, there's lots of room!

I love the "new bow" threads, especially the ones by non-professional bowyers. To me, the joy of traditional archery is half designing/crafting your own bow and half hunting with it.  I could really care less about the whole skinny string/speed/kenetic energy/momentum threads, but I will always check out the new bow threads.  I'm always thinking about what I should do for my next bow building project and "new bow" threads help feed the creative side of my brain.

There's nothing finer than the art these bowyers are putting out. It not only help's us tradgangers out to see it but it help's the guy's that build them. I'm sure it does them proud to see people bragging on there bow's. It's nice to have a pat on the back every now and then!! Bring on the pic's, I like'em!! Jason
