basket quiver-revised(pics)-better?
« on: April 21, 2007, 02:30:00 PM »
First try at this. The weaving is uneven and the finishing at the top is VERY rough, but it'll carry my arrows.  I've attached a single leather loops to it for a hip quiver.

I'm sure that it's much better than my first attempt would turn out. It looks good to me. Hap

Sar,

It's a piece of archery equipment you made!!!  As my Cub Scouts say, "Cool Beans!!"  Time to take it to the range and break it in.

Hey that's really cool. I recently made my first one. I like the rough look of yours and the coloring.

Thanks.  I cut away the top where I didn't like how it's finished.  I'm going to finish the top with leather instead.

Decided to go with a back quiver instead.  This is after I cut away the messed up weaving on the top and instead sewed in a patch of leather.

Hey it looks like a quiver, that's a lot better than I would end up with. Nice first one for sure.

Thanks.  I wore it today to go shooting with my owl bow.  It is light and pretty comfortable.  It certainly looks better when filled with arrows!
