Lost Creek Bows & Chad
« on: February 22, 2010, 04:13:00 PM »
Hi all,
I had posted on an earlier thread that I had a problem with my Lost Creek bow. Chad came right on and told me to send the bow to him and we would get it figured out. Just want to say first of all Chad is a top notch guy, & second the problem was not caused by the bow. Long story short, I never should have gotten my hands on the bow. I will let Chad go into details if he wishes but wanted to let everyone know he is taking care of me and is as straight up and honest of a guy as you will ever deal with. I will be ordering a bow from him as soon as funds allow. Thanks Chad and can't wait to get her back.
Dan

Chad is a great guy any way you figure him, and he builds a heck of a shooter too.

Dan, I had built this bow back in 2006, it was probably bow number 20, if that. This specific bow was the bow I had hunted with in 2006, and had already shot several deer with it, but one day I was hunting, and dropped it out of the treestand I was in, and the insert actually popped out of the side of the riser. I had a two piece quiver on it at the time and when it landed on the quiver from 20 feet above it did some damage, imagine that. Anyway, I gave this bow away for free to a fellow trad gang guy,(not going to mention any names), w/the condition that he would never sell it. Well, needless to say, he sold it, even after he gave his word that he wouldn't pass this bow into anybody else's possession. I was afraid that due to the damage it suffered in the fall that it would continue to break in some way. I guess I shouldn't have tried to help somebody out and just trashed the bow as my first instinct and gut feeling said to do. Even that early in my career as a bowyer, I did not want a bow w/my name linked to it on the market, that was DAMAGED or FAULTY in any way.  I've now fixed it to the best of my ability, even after trying to get Dan to trash it and let me build him another(even though the bows faults were not in the construction). Dan, hopefully you'll enjoy the bow until your ready for a new "Lost Creek".    Thanks everyone for your time and all your good sentiments.... Chad

Chad makes some very nice bows that shoot very well. I will be ordering one of his NAT bows as soon as I can. Like I said he could not have been more fair with me and I won't forget that. Chad, until then.

Chad is destined to become one of the "greats", he is a pleasure to deal with and really takes pride in his work. I have one of his bows, actually my first custom bow and put a few arrows through it tonight. Chad I have been thinking hard about getting a new one from you as my first one is a little heavier than I like at my now 29" draw. Chad has received a lot of praise here and it is well deserved.....I better make up my mind, as I don't know how much longer Chad will have a short turn around time>

Hi all,
Just wanted to say I have the bow back and have shot her the past couple of days. She shoots so well I can't believe she was ever sick. Chad, you did a great job. I have decided to sell some of my other bows off and will be oredering another bow from you as soon as I am able. Thanks again Chad and the poundage came out perect for me. Now if I can get my first trad turkey bowkill with her in May it would be the cherry on the top!
