Anybody build a bow from Choke Cherry??.  I have a 60 inch log dried out and wondered if any of you had built short wide bows from it.  Any help would be appreciated...........John.

I know this doesnt count but when I was a kid I used to cut down choke cherry trees that were about an inch in diameter and string them up green as a workable bow.  Worked great back then for a kid just knockin around the farm.

On a more serious note its my understanding that most any fruit wood will make a bow.

Choke cherry makes a very good bow. I have a stave I will be working on soon.   There is a good build along on PA by Gordon, making a choke cherry bow.
