Quivers on bows with skins???
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:51:00 PM »
Hey Guys, I have never had a bow with snake skins on it, and I am pretty much a novice at Traditional bows. However, Brian Wessel at TallTines is building me my first custom bow and I had him to add snake skins on it cause my 11 year old son thought they looked "COOL". I am looking to purchase a quiver for the bow but am unsure if a quiver would rub or damage the skins? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but I am not familiar with bow building at all. Thanks.

Get inserts for a side mount or use a limb bolt style.  If skins are applied properly you will not have any trouble with a strap on so basically pic the one that you like best.

I use the Boa or Eagles Flight since on and they don't harm the skins.
