Can"a"worms, anyone?
Not the most comfortable topic I've had the pleasure to read on this forum, but surely mind provoking.
I live on a small 26 acre plot that I purchased 12 years ago and made the decision this past spring to make it my home. Miles away from town and very quiet and peaceful.
12 years ago I'd visit on weekends about once a month. Back then wildlife was plentiful.
There is still an abundance of deer and turkey as the property is heavily wooded and intenally a spring fed creek winds 3 times through the small acreage.
But I see more wild cats in a day than the bunnys, pheasant, and quail combined in a given month. I don't have any ground squirrel either.
10 yrs ago that wasn't the case.
I'm not going to be the judge of what others deem fair game. And I'm not going to eat no damn cat.  :readit:

Good shot.  It takes a pretty pompus person to force others to wear their morals.

I have my own problems, I am not taking on anyone else's.

Good shot and congrats grassman.  Chipmunks are arodent as stated before.  They do little more than gnaw their way into your buildings to get into your feed and what not.  They are also proven to carry diseases such as the plague so actually eating them can be very dangerous.

I don't see me starting a cookbook with starling recipes but you can bet your last quarter if I could kill a few thousand at one time I would. I'd use them for fertilizer, wildlife food, coyote bait or just more for the lowly earthworm to feed on. They are invading my yard, making an awful smell not to mention how the car and truck look like. I hadn't taken a vehicle to the car wash in years until now.

I'd even be willing to try to eat them but only if I could kill them all at once and invite all of my bowhunting friends for dinner..lol

God bless,Mudd

My name is Dave, and I shoot chipmunks.

I make arrows just for chipmunks. I lie awake during the winter thinking of Springtime and  shooting chipmunks. I have even planned organized chipmunk hunts.

Yes, I am a chipmunkaholic.
