Heading to Louisiana to hunt some turkey and maybe a hog
« on: March 10, 2010, 04:43:00 PM »
I just got my plane ticket. I headn out on April 9 to go home to the place I grew up hunting. In north west Louisiana. We are going turkey hunting but there are a bunch of ferrel hogs down there. If I get a chance I'm going to try to take one. Should be fun. I will take plenty of pics.

Good luck and look forward to the story. Just going will be a successful hunt in itself.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Son of Texas. You are kidding me. I grew up in Bossier City. My uncle has a deer lease in Benton and that where we are going. It used to be called the Gator Hole. Not sure if the name is still the same.

Good Luck Three finger.  I think Dorothy said it best -- there is no place like home.

Welcome back.
