I did some arrow work
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:00:00 PM »
Well I did some arrows last night and this is what I came up with the flu flu shaft was dyed with Rit that I used to do the feathers on the other arrow. And the center twist on the regular arrow was done with dental floss that was also dyed with the Rit.Sorry if it's a little blurry.

I looked in the How to section(Guru's demo) and at first it's not easy I would sand the quill some.It makes it easier to wrap. Thanks Guru for the How to on them

If you dye your own feathers from natural barred feathers (or white), you can just go with NO quill and "strip" them. Then, just use fletch tape, wrap them on, and glue the ends. They go on easier and don't want to jump off so much.

Very nice work. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding those arrows after an errant shot.
