Links for exotic wood sources

I'd like to pick out my own woods to send to a bowyer.  Anyone have links for good suppliers of exotic woods?  Thanks!  :notworthy:

Gilmer Wood Company.  They're out in Oregon I believe.  Lots of nice exotic wood, but a lot of folks keep a close eye on their inventory, especially the really nice stuff.  Usually about the time I find something, someone has already bought it.  Ya have to be quick!

Here's where I have bought some in the past...You can pick out the actual piece of wood you buy from them via pics.

Nice site, but "$300 dollar minimum on all phone orders".  ouch  I didn't read the others thoroughly...hope their policies aren't the same.

Get a hold of Mike Pyeatt at Rosewood Archery.  His selection and quality is second to none and you will not get better service or prices anywhere.  He goes by Lefty Fred here.

I buy my riser wood here. Never thought of sending it to someone to make lams out of,but that's a good idea.

If you notice in the picture of their tools there's a draw knife. These guys sell draw knives, rasps, and scrappers. They even have a couple osage selfbows hanging on the wall. Last time I was there 2 of the employees were making a canoe and a kayak out of wood and had them on display while they were being built.

There is a guy on the TexasBowhunter.com Trad discussion called rubydog that sells fine hardwoods for trad bowyers.  He makes excellent arrows also.

Awesome post.  I will be visiting Gilmer to pick up some woods for fancy tomahawk handles.
