Matching My String to My Bow

Always trying to get my strings to match to my bow I think I found a good combo for a Widow Ironwood. This is a 14 strand D97 string. It has 6 strands of black and 1 of red to match the phenolic. The other bundle has 7 stands of gold to go with the bamboo. The things we do when there is nothing to hunt.

That string looks good.
I seem to build a new string every week.

Yep, that's the beauty of making your own. I too, seem to make a new string every week or so just trying out different combinations.
Yours looks great!!

Nice combo!
Just in case someone tries to order that color, BCY has it listed as "bronze". It goes well with lots of other colors--made a string today with blue and bronze--suprisingly it looked really nice.

I like when the string matches the bow too. That is a nice one.

Thanks guys glad Im not the only one. So it got me to make another for a Tulipwood Widow. I might have gone a little to far with this one. My wife said, " That's so pretty." 14 strand D97, 5 strands pink with 2 bronze, 5 black 2 bronze.

Looks good but matching my string color to the bow is something that has never even crossed my mind.
