Admittedly, I've only been around archery for 40yrs or so, but please tell me...what is a skinny string?

It is a string with less strands,I used to make all my D97 with 12 strands which is strong enough for a 100# bow.I have used 12 strand on my 83# Bamboo longhunter. But now on my bows under 60# I have been using a 8 strand D97,it seems to be a quieter string.Maybe from less mass weight, but it works fine for me.I guess that is what is called a skinny string,I also use a 6 strand 450+ on bows under 65#.

The 'search' tool is a wonderful thing.

"Sometimes" the search tool is a wonderful thing, couple that with no one givinging you a strait answer or a riddle for your question and a person can get a little desperate.
