The PL is a faster bow. The PL has a different profile with more reflex and deflex which increases the preload. A strip of carbon under a veneer on the back of the PL. If its a takedown the connection system will be different, the grip is different. A Lag was offered 62"-68" and PL is 60"-66."

Order a new PL with the old LAG grip and you will have the best of both worlds. My PLGA has the LAG grip and it is awesome in all areas.

You could contact Al Kidner. Maybe he'll see this thread. He's had both bows, and has some thoughts on the matter.

Agree with Lefty. The PL with an LAG Style grip gives me a more consistent grip placement.

Try before you buy,for me I much prefer the PL grip better then the LAG grip, grips can be a personal choice.I feel a more consistent hand placement with the PL grip, but everyone is different as to what they like in a grip.
