? about turkey hunting.

i have a old bear bearcat that my dag got when he was 10.i love the bow and shoot it great but its 40@28 im shooting 30in 55/75s 4 fletch with 175 up front.what im asking is it going to be poundage to bring down a turk.

40# is plenty of wieght, But(I'm not a carbon "Guru") I would think the arrows alittle over-spined. I would try some 35-55's.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

Plenty of weight. bare shaft to fletched tune to see if your arrows are spined right.  If they aren't then your broadheads won't impact where your field points hit.
