I have found that 60" longbows work better for me than longer or shorter bows, I think it is what fits you.

I find and this is for me and my experience only.

If I am standing at a target line shooting I will shoot a 66” bow built to proportion better than a shorter bow built to the same proportions (Riser length to working limb length). Not just a little bit better either.

I do not own a hunting bow longer than 62” and that 62”er is my out-west open spaces hunting bow.
All the rest are 58” or 60” bows and they all happen to be forward handle short longbows. They are all built with limbs in proportion to the riser.

If I am standing and shooting targets I then to straighten up and draw at my 30 1/2”. To be realistic when I practice in a hunting situation I draw at 29” a bit more in early season hunting clothing.

I may not be able to shoot as well with shorter bows. But I can shoot them better in hunting conditions and keep the shots in a Grapefruit out to 25-30 yards give or take. So I am very happy with my shorter for me bows.

I will take the 58”ers everyday off hunting in the woods here in MN.

MY .02 Cents and that is all that is worth. Hell a Politician may have been talking and it is now worth
.015 Cents.
