Roy Hall pics
« on: April 05, 2010, 03:15:00 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has any pics of a Roy Hall with the micarta/wood riser? I just ordered one with black micarta and curly maple.  The pic on his website isn't very good and just wanting a better picture if anyone has one.  Thanks

Sorry, I don't have pic's of the bow in question but I am familier with Roy's work. I would be surprized if you were not extremely happy with any bow produced by Roy. His bows not only look good but they are smooth as silk. Roy is a real craftsman.

I'm not smart enough to post pics but I agree with Bill. I don't think you will be dissappointed with one of Roy's bows. I have got a Navajo Scout T/d longbow 62" 48# and absolutely love how it looks, like the way it shoots even better.

I got one of Roy's bows recently, an Apache, and have to say I was not totally happy. Roy is a wonderful man and very accomodating, but thee glue lines in the bow I received were not up to what I have seen from other Bowyers out there.

I have no doubt I'll be extremely happy.  My buddy has one I love to shoot.  Every time we shoot together I shoot his Navajo II more than my own bows.

Adding in my two cents, I have two 62" Cherokees, 46# and 51#, they have a permanent place on the Do Not Trade list.  Roy is a great guy to talk to and makes a fantastic bow.

No pics?  Anyone?  I agree, Roy is a heck of a nice guy to talk to and deal with.

Here is a Caddo I bought from here then sold like a knucklehead. I wish I still had it.

Sorry, I just came to this posting.  I'll be posting some pics of my Navajo Chief this evening.  It's a beautiful bow, appx. 9 years old, 60", 58#@28".  A real tack driver.  Doesn't have the Micarta riser - maybe curly maple?  Unfortunately, I'll have to part with it - got too many 60" bows already.  So, if anyone's interested, I'll have pics later.
Thanks,
