Anyone Familiar With John Freeman PTY Limited?
« on: April 08, 2010, 09:09:00 AM »
We have had several inquirys from "John Freeman PTY Limited" requesting traditional archery products. They are suppose to be located in Melbourne, Australia. Anyone familiar with them, or heard of them? I know we have several members on Tradgang from Australia and I have shipped to individuals there before. I believe it would be mutually worthwhile to determine if they are legit. Thanks for any information you can provide.

In the past I have shipped a lot of stuff to Australia, never a problem, but I have not heard of this man or company that I can recall.

Don

Be careful. We ask our dealers to qualify for dealer terms with tax ID #s and various other info. I would inquire in depth before doing business. If its an individual customer he should provide the typical info to do business. Secure payments etc. We get alot of fishy emails that have to go to the trash bin because they are not legit. Lots of good ones come from all over the world and some of our best customers rein from the "land down under"!

I certainly haven't heard of them. Do they have another name for their shop?

Maybe change the title to "Any Aussies Familiar with...", and that'd be sure to get the attention of the Melbourne boys.

There is an Aussie web site similar to TradGang. I have been on iti the past, but can't for the life of me remember the name now.

Don, I have gotten emails from him as well.He kept asking for a price list over and over even after I told him exactly where the price list is on our website,so I got spooked of him.I did not respond to his last email, and have not heard back from him.

I'm in Melbourne and have not heard of them.

Thanks everyone. I was pretty sure he was not legit but thought that it would be a good idea to run it by you guys. The fact that Bill (Zipper Bows) has had contact with him means he will probably be contacting others on the site. I don't believe it hurts to shine a light on something that doesn't seem right.

We've gotten the same e-mails.  I deleted them as SPAM.
