Did a little riser swapping...
« on: April 09, 2010, 07:59:00 PM »
Josh "Summit" Rogers and I did a little Shawnee riser swapping.  I had a Cocobolo and Macassar Ebony Shawnee A-riser that I was using with my Foam Core "C" Dakota limbs.  I liked it well enough, but...  I had a set of "E" Carbon Foam Dakotas that also have the Uni-Weft (sp?) core just sitting around.  They have a Bocote cap on them... So I was holding out for a riser that had some Bocote in it to match it up.  Had a vision in my head for a Gaboon Ebony Riser with a Bocote flare...  But, Josh up and offers his Bocote riser with Gaboon Ebony flare and I just had to say yes...  ;)

Shoots like a dream, and beautiful to look at.  Thanks again Josh, I think we both made out on this deal...   :D

Loving this bow!  Doesn't hurt that it is my favorite combination (A riser and E limbs...).

Sorry Tom, no, I had to work today and am also on call...  Wish I could have made it, sounds like a blast.
