leather stringer

The leather pocket that slips over the tip of the limb where you are supposed to place the string in the grove, "almost" covers the groove. So, when I try to string the bow it is difficult to position correctly the string.
Any idea?
thanks

Some bows the tips are not long enough and the stringer does cover the nock grooves. What I have done is to cut small pieces of leather and put that in the cup so the cup won't cover the nock grooves.I use just enough leather but not to much so the cup won't slip off the limb tip.Or another stringer like a Selway that uses a limb pad on the other side of the string.
