Shooting Glove ????

I just picked up one of the American Leathers Big Shot gloves.I've shot an old Bear glove in the past.While I've only shot it a couple of times I'm very pleased with it.It seems well made and seems to have inproved my release.As an added bonus the tip of my index finger doesn't hurt after prolonged shooting which was aproblem with my old glove.

I just started traditional archery this last month. After taking delivery of my bow, I found myself with two arrows and no tab or glove. Rather than waiting to acquire (I live 75 miles from the closest archery shop), I tried a pair of cowhide work gloves for practice sessions. Since, I have tried two types of archery gloves and a tab and I keep going back to the work gloves. If it works................

i started out shooting a skookim and then went to a big shot glove and now i shoot a black widow pdq super glove. i shoot 3 under , thumb nuckle in my ear lobe, and nose touching  tip of feather. the widow glove is as good as the big shot and less expensive. both take a little break in time but after that they are my pick. also you will have to get use to not feeling the string like you do with the skookim but stick with it. better release IMO

Damascus glove for me.I have 2 .i like that they are thin but enough to protect.

hello J. Yates! wondered how you like that Big shot glove you just bought. You needed it to go with that "Whip" and "Fatal stick". Glad to see it's working for you...jackdaw

I have a Big Shot Glove. It is top quality but will probably not give you the protection your looking for. American leathers used to carry a glove with nylon inserts that really protected your fingers, but they no longer make it. Howard Hill Archery makes a glove similar to this with the inserts-it will probably be the next glove I buy. I recently purchased a Hill style glove with cordovan overlays from 3 Rivers. At first, I didn't think it had the quality I was looking for in a glove, but I am really liking the glove now.

Thanks for all the suggestions......guys.

This dang "gettin' old" crap stinks. I have a slightly arthritic middle finger on my right hand and it's been giving me fits everytime that I shoot for very long. It keeps telling me, "That hurts".....but I don't listen very well.

Doug, give me a shout sometime when you know your gonna be in town.....we need to sling a few arrows and do some reminiscing about "Days Gone Bye".

For finger comfort I really like the Big Shot Glove ... I have the elk and have been shooting it several years.

Don, I shoot with 3 different gloves that have already been suggested numerous times. They all work for me but if it didn't look so awkward and unprofessional, I'd probably put No Glove on all of my strings.
Seriously, if you have nerve damage and finger problems, put the rubber on.
