I've done a lot of pre-finished woodworking with materials finished with CV....it IS kind of brittle...... and fluxuations in temperature really does effect it a lot...I didn't think it was rated for exterior use????? Are you using a "spar" version of this product?

I went to an auto paint supply outfit and bought an  auto grade Cat urethane....this stuff is tricky to work with but Man-O-Man! Does this come out nice after about 3 coats....Its made by "Val-spar".... a quart of it was $60 bucks  :scared:  Profesional products are spendy!

Andy,

I cant really answer much of that as I'm just now spraying it for the first time. I'll bet the auto body clear coat kicks butt for UV protection though.

Google, "trinity coatings" and call them and ask where the nearest distributor is. I use an auto body type spray gun with compressor. Ultimately, I want to get a Fuji turbine...

Good luck,

Ernie
