Getting ready for first trad hunt.

Today my wife and I went to the woods to set up for bear. My existing bait site was set up for compound. The stand was 16' high and 20yds from my bait. The bait was also at a slight down hill grade so I would be shooting down about 20'. My new set up is about 200yds from the first. It's 100yds off an old beaver dam nestled in heavy spruce/fur woods. I knew of this spot because I would find my buckets the bear lugged off there. I hung this stand 9' to the platform ( just under 11' to the seat ). I put the barrel at 14yards. I now hope to do my part and make the shot. >>>> RAY

I'm a little apprehensive about this hunt. My shooting is not as consistent as I would like. That being said, when I'm shooting well, it's plenty good to hunt. The bad days pop up once in a while and have me doubting my self. I have another month of practice before The hunt. I think a successful hunt is what I need to get past this. Thanks gents for your best wishes and I will most certainly post my hunt. >>>> RAY
