What is this bow worth?
« on: April 24, 2010, 12:29:00 PM »
There is a guy that has a longbow. That is a Howard Hill after his death.  I assume that this bow was made by whoever took over the bow building.  It is a Wildcat II.  Dont know much about it, but what's it worth?

Are there any serial numbers on it? That will help you tell you something about it.Is it a reverse handle? Do you have any pic's? Is it in good condition?

I could be mistaken, but I believe the Wildcat is one of Jerry Hill's(Howard's nephew) bow. Hard to say.. If I am thinking correctly, I've seen them go from $200-$300.

Yes Ethan I believe it is Jerry Hill.  I don't have the bow, but my buddy was wanting to purchase it.  I knew nothing about a Hill or the like so I thought that I would post here.  I guess $150 bucks is a good deal then, if it's in good shape?

Is there anyway you can shoot it before you buy? I have a Jerry Hill Stalker Deluxe that I really like, but some folks just don't care for them. If you can try it and like it, then $150 is a good price. If you don't like it and have already bought it you may have it for a while before you can get rid of it. Like I said I like mine. Try it if you can!!

At that price if the bow is in decent shape it would if nothing else making trade goods worth the money.

This sounds like a Jerry Hill Bow and not a Howard Hill Bow. I used to have a Jerry Hill Wildcat Deluxe. My bow had lots of hand shock!

Thanks for the advice.  I did not buy the bow.  My buddy bought it, but I shot it, and hated it.  Lots of hand shock, uncomfortable, slow, and extremely light.  Condition was 100% though.  He liked it, I guess that's all that matters.  Thanks again for the advice.
