Morrison shooters, Wood Spine?
« on: April 29, 2010, 03:49:00 PM »
Howdy,
Recieved my new to me Morrison last week and I need some help with wood spine.  The bow is a 58" recurve, A riser C limbs (actionboo).  59# @ 28".  Sbd skinny string.  I draw 28" and shoot a 145 grain head.
Thanks

75-80#  in 11/32 cedars, spruce or doug fir. Might get away with 70-75#.  70-75# would probably work in 23/64 because their larger diameter has the same effect as building out the side plate.  May need more spine yet if you plan to shoot hardwoods. Good luck.

That's right...go heavy on Bob's bows.  I don't have one anymore but I always shot about 20# over your draw weight.

Best of luck to ya.
