I was using a 58" Firefly LB 50@28 GT 3555 Full length with 100 grain brass insert and 125 grain Snuffer - Did the trick real nice!

I will be using a very similar setup for deer, although bow and broad head subject to change.  I will probably be using a Razorcap and probably a recurve, but the specs will probably be the same.

You know what I have brother, same set up for all.  48lb K-Mag, Cedar arrows, and Zwickey 2 blade broadheads. Been thinking about trying some carbon arrows though, just looking for something more durable and economical.

Different for deer and elk, but for turkeys it's 62# Dale Dye recurve, 5575's with big Snuffers.  For big game 58-65# Dye with 5575 and 50 gr. insert plus 175gr. VPA Terminator heads.
65# @ 27" Dale Dye one piece recurve
62# @ 27" Dale Dye TD recurve
58# @ 27" Dale Dye Medicine Point RC
65# Montana Bow Works long bow

Shootin the Super Shrew, 53# @ 30", Beman MFX 400 30.5", 125g woodsman on a 125g adapter, 'bout 615g worth of thump. It'll do.

Deer and turkey, same, same...

27.5" 2016 with 175gr Razorcap (20gr insert) up front. Arrow wrap under three RW shield cut feathers. Gonna use a Vortex longbow, 47# at my 26" draw. Total arrow weight of 528gr. That's 11.2 ggp.

... mike ...

PS... I still LOVE woodies for hunting. Need to make some up soon.......

THis year I shot a 25 pounder with a Morrison Shawnee 50 at 29, 30 inch CE Maxima 250 (0.400), 160 gr Snuffer, which made for 285 upfront plus a string tracker.  Didn't need the tracker.  Broke the wing on the entrance and hit the other wing with no exit hole.  How can a 1.5 inch broadhead make a 4 inch hole?

For deer I'll use some 53 at 28 inch limbs and no string tracker.  These limbs would probably be better for turkeys than the ones I used.

Dan Quillian Patriot 58 @ 28, CX heritage 350, 100 grain brass insert and a Steelforce Hellfire 150 or a 150 grain Magnus Stinger, same thing I shoot at deer and everything else I hunt. Worked great on the 5 I killed with it this year even worked great on the 2 I missed.
