Turkey and Magnus Bullhead
« on: May 05, 2010, 08:05:00 PM »
Hey guys, I have not been around much.  Been busy working and such.  Anyway, This weekend I get to go turkey hunting for 3 days.  keep in mind...Ive never killed a turkey.  My part of Illinois has very few birds.  However..this weekend, I will be hunting in an area that is loaded with birds in another part of the state.  I've got arrows tuned shooting both a bullhead, and my trusty woodsman, so I can take my pick.  Have any of you guys tried the bullhead with traditional gear?

One thing I have learned.Shoot for the neck not the head.I shot one in the neck last year and he was dead in just a few seconds. The one I shot in the head this year,I had to leave him go a bit.The turkey got out of view so I treated it like a deer and waited an hour.Im sure he was dead in less time than that but I wanted to be sure.
