Which grinder do I choose?
«

I'm thinking of getting a grinder for amateur bowmaking, and have com across 3 that I can afford at this moment..
Problem is, I don't know much about this stuff..
Could any of you maybe help me point one out, or at least tell me which one NOT to choose?
Pages are in Norwegian, but the should be translated through the link. I know they are not the best, but they're what I can afford, and what is available in my area!

You might want to go to home depot Lowes and look in the hardware section for similar types you have shown.
I know a few guys who have purchased the
Ridgid Oscillating sander
(Apex Predator and Pennsyltuckey pete.) Both Marty and Pete have built jigs specific for bow building grinding lams etc.
I have one my self. I much prefer it over my combination belt/flat toshiba one.
they sell for about 200.00 at Home Depot.

SveinD, do they have Home Depots, or something similar, in Norway?
All of the ones you show here SveinD will work. But if you can get a bigger belt sander then you can do the limbs easier. A friend has a 6"X48" horizontal belt sander that really does a great job on shaping the limbs. He made a jig that fits on the end to shape veneers too.
In this type of tool just get the biggest one you can afford.

We have smaller versions of 'Home-Depot' and the links are from those stores, but something bigger is hard to find, and very pricey $800-10000. So these ($150) are the only ones I could find atm.. Of course, if I ever start to build for other people I will get one of the better ones, but for now I'll try my way with a cheap one
Thanks for replies though!
